If only it would slow down;
And allow us more opportunity
To enjoy all that surrounds;
Just to be quiet and listen to nature;
And acquaint ourselves with its stature;
We might find peace;

Mother nature is so beautiful, you can find beauty in every little particle in the world. Just imagining the complex and dynamic processes that are occurring simultaneously around us is absolutely fascinating. I wish I would take out more time to appreciate it. Some days I wake up grumpy and quickly walk by so much beauty without taking a moment to realize that it is there and give it a deeper sense of awareness by thinking about it. I’m glad you posted this!
Thank you very much for reading and commenting, Dorian. I have been reading and meditating a lot on the Transcendentalists of late- particularly Walt Whitman. Writers like him are teaching me to live with more awareness.
